The Landing Circle Nyon

A 6-week daytime circle for internationally mobile parents.

You’ve moved countries. Your children may already be settling in. But your own experience of belonging, identity, and adjustment can take longer to find its shape.

The Landing Circle offers a calm, structured space for reflection, conversation, and connection during this transition.

What is The Landing Circle?

This is not therapy. It’s not networking. And it’s not another coffee morning.

It is a calm, structured space for thoughtful conversation, reflection, and connection during the experience of settling into a new place.

Who is it for?

This group is for you if you:

✓ Have relocated in the last couple of years
✓ Would like to meet others beyond school gates and practical admin
✓ Are interested in meaningful conversation
✓ Are looking for a calm and welcoming daytime space
✓ Would like to feel more connected to life here

You do not need to be struggling to join. You only need to be curious about creating a sense of belonging in your new environment.

FAQs

Who is this suitable for?

  • Any mothers and fathers with school-aged children, who have relocated to the area recently.

Do I need to attend all sessions?

  • The programme is designed to be cumulative and you'll get the most out of it by attending all sessions. Of course life gets in the way sometimes, so while you'll miss the discussion, any materials used will be available for you if you miss a session.

  • Priority will be given to participants joining for the whole programme, but if there are spaces left, the sessions will be opened up as one-time sessions.

Is this therapy?

  • No, this is not therapy. However, the group is facilitated by a qualified counsellor, who understands the psychological and emotional aspects of relocation, and has trained to facilitate groups.

Can I join if I relocated more than 2 years ago?

  • While there will be elements that you may find helpful, this group is primarily aimed at those who have arrived more recently and are living through the time of transition. You can contact Emily to talk through whether the group is right for you.

Do I need fluent English?

  • The group will be conducted in English. Don't worry about your English being perfect though - we will find a way to understand each other!
