A place to pause and reflect during times of change
Major life transitions can affect us in unexpected ways.
Perhaps you've relocated internationally and are finding the adjustment more difficult than anticipated. Maybe you're balancing family responsibilities with work, navigating a career change, recovering from burnout, or questioning aspects of your identity and direction.
Even positive changes can bring uncertainty, loss, stress, and self-doubt. Life’s twists and turns can be overwhelming, and you don’t have to face them alone.
Counselling can offer space to explore what you're experiencing, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop ways of moving forward that feel right for you.
Why this work matters to me
I’m Emily, a British-born psychosocial counsellor based in the Geneva area.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in education in the UK, France and Switzerland. My own experience of building a life abroad, including becoming a parent while living outside my home country, has given me an appreciation of how complex major life transitions can be.
Even positive changes can bring unexpected challenges. Relocation, parenthood, shifts in identity, changing support networks, and balancing family and professional responsibilities can all affect how we experience ourselves and our relationships.
These experiences, alongside my professional training, inform my interest in supporting adults through periods of change and adjustment.
My Qualifications
I have a BSc in Social Psychology, MA in Counselling, and a PGCE in Primary Education. I complete regular training and supervision to stay up-to-date with recent evidence-based approaches and further develop my counselling skills and knowledge. I am a member of the Swiss Association for Counselling (SGfB), and registered member of the BACP, and adhere to their ethics frameworks.
